My Top 3 Priorities

  • Repeal the sales tax increase & property tax increases
  • Attract good paying jobs & businesses to the city
  • Improve public safety & services

My mission is to establish an ethical, transparent, and open city government. Pico Rivera’s city government should ensure public safety, infrastructure development, sound financial management and equity for all neighborhoods with acceptable taxation. Both my experience in business and finance and as an educator economics and law at El Rancho High School qualifies to successfully fulfill my mission. I am currently a site representative, AFT Local 3467 and had a 29-year successful career in business having been named one of “100 Most Influential Hispanics,” Hispanic Business Magazine 1997 and have advised two presidential administration on technology, trade and business development.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

We are taxing our best natural resources right out of this city…our people.   Young families must be able to do more than survive financially; they must be allowed to prosper. Senior citizens should receive the social security due them without once again being taxed on that income through extravagant sales and property taxes.

“I will fight to reduce today’s business & job killing sales tax and other business unfriendly regulations.”
