CITY OF ANGELS

MEASURE B

To convert the City of Angels positions of City Clerk and City Treasurer from elected positions to positions appointed by the City Council.

A “YES” vote on this Measure would convert City Clerk and City Treasurer from elected to appointive positions.  The City Council would appoint officers to the positions upon the expiration of the term of the current City Clerk and City Treasurer in November 2018.  Currently, these officers are elected by the voters.   Pursuant to Government Code § 36508, the question of converting these offices to appointive positions must be put to the voters.

A “NO” vote on this Measure is a vote against converting the City of Angels offices of City Clerk and City Treasurer to appointive positions.

Measure B has been placed on the ballot by the governing body of the City of Angels, and must be approved by a majority of the voters in the City of Angels voting upon said Measure to become effective.
