Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

Sarah believes that our school, like all successful organizations, to be most successful requires effective leadership, authentic collaboration, and impactful innovation.  Sarah wants to strengthen leadership from the  board level to the children.  This includes improving communication of our vision, goals and expectiations and having strong systems of measurement and accountability.  It also includs fiscal responsibility and making decisions based on multiple relialbe sources of data.  Sarah believes that we need more authentic collaboration in our school between parents, teachers, administration and the school board.  This includes more transparancy of key information, and better communication processes to increase parent, teacher and student engagement,  and strengthening the partnership we all share for the responsibility for the success of all our students. Lastly, we need to support new platforms for innovation which adds value in our school and deepens learning. Ideas need to be encouraged and supported from the bottom up, not the top down.
