As a 45-year resident of Los Osos, Julie is a proven leader and hardworking volunteer.
Julie served as a director on the Los Osos Community Services District from 2004-2008 and as its Vice President in 2008.
Julie worked tirelessly to “Move the Sewer”. Today, Los Osos enjoys the passive park next to the library and peace of mind knowing a sewage treatment plant will never be built in the middle of town.
Julie is well versed in the business of the LOCSD as she has served for 12 years on the district’s Emergency Services Advisory Committee and was recently appointed to its Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee.
Julie currently sits on the Los Osos Community Advisory Council’s Land Use sub-committee, and has since 2013.
Julie’s contributions to the community include over 10 years on the Baywood Elementary PTA and as President of both the Baywood Elementary and Los Osos Middle School Site councils.
She worked as coordinator for several Los Osos families in need, raising over $100,000 during their difficult times.
Julie has been effective as a watchdog of local government in Los Osos and throughout SLO County. Most recently it was Julie who identified anomalies in the district’s accounting that led to sweeping changes in upper management of the district.
Julie’s highest priority is to the residents and ratepayers in the community
