Biography

Malcolm Johnson was born in Washington, D.C. and moved to California after Graduating from New York University in 1993.  He is currently working Communications for Anthony Portantino’s California Senate Campaign, and helping out with Ardy Kassakhian’s Assembly Campaign in the 43rd.  He is the Communications Director for the Southern California Armenian Democrats, and will be serving the same function for the United Democratic Headquarters this fall.  He is a member of East Area Progressive Democrats, the Korean-American Democratic Committee and AVANCE Los Angeles Democratic Club.  He is currently an Assembly Delegate to the California State Democratic Convention, as well as currently serving as a Vickere Murphy’s Alternate at the Los Angeles County Democratic Party Central Committee.
